With everything going on with social media, I thought it was finally time to get used to working on my own site. Social media is supposed to be fun, but it felt pretty exhausting for me to be on except a few websites like Cohost (Unfortunately it's getting shut down) Deviantart, Youtube and Furaffinity.
I realize I shouldn't rely on these too much anymore. I do appreciate my followers, but I also don't care to have a lot of followers, that was never my goal as an artist. I mean, it would be nice to make money with my art, but I understand that's gonna take sometime since I feel that I have a lot to learn with my artwork.
I'm still trying to draw anatomy properly and currently I have been unlearning not to rely on color so much for my work and instead focus on my structure and so far it's helping. I started drawing a lot of Sanrio stuff for warmups and man... I enjoy it a lot. It's super fun.
Also, it really helps to study the old masters and I couldn't help but notice Kentaro Miura's art had some similarities with Leonardo da Vinci with how they both draw. I know Kentaro said that he was inspired by Fist of the north star. It just made me think about more how important it is to study the fundamentals. I have more of an appreciation for art than I ever did and I'm grateful to the both of them for sharing their artwork.
That being said, thank you so much for reading y'all. I hope y'all will have a good day/evening. <3
